Facility Management
Facility Management is a field focused on the efficient and effective delivery of support services for buildings. It is an area that integrates people, places, processes and technology within the built environment, with the purpose of improving the operational management of the building, the quality of life for occupiers of the building, and contributing to the improvements of the building.
DH Building and Project Solutions offer the following Facility Management Services:
Ensuring the cleaning of common areas to building hygiene and sanitisation standards, on a scheduled basis.
Ensuring buildings comply with all legislation, standards, codes and warranties of equipment and suppliers.
Liaising with and reviewing contractor performance and adherence to contractual obligations and safety management. Reviewing and closing off work orders, and ensuring actions are completed in a timely and safe manner.
Monitoring all electrical, heating and cooling costs through analysis assessments. Identifying value engineering opportunities and educating building tenants on energy conservation behaviours.
Reviewing all essential service contracts and ensuring maintenance is conducted to Australian Standards and warranties of suppliers and equipment. Including, but to limited to fire systems, access systems, some HVAC equipment, and essential utility supply.
Project Management
Project Management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time.
DH Project Management is focused on the achievement of project goals within given constraints. This is detailed in project documentation created at the beginning of the development process and monitored through to the successful project conclusion.
The primary constraints which DH focus on for successful project management are scope, time, quality and budget.
DH will liaise with external consultants and contractors to ensure that project goals are achieved, if not exceeded.
